5th Halifax (Elland) Company, The Boys’ Brigade Anchor Boys Come & join the fun!! The Anchor Boys are the youngest members of the BB family, starting at 5 years old. We meet on a Wednesday evening and between 6.15pm and 7.30pm our programme is packed with lively games, craft work, simple achievements, a short time of worship and much more – enough to keep the Boys occupied and happy and it is a noisy and hectic evening! We also take part in Anchor Boy events that are organised by the Halifax Battalion. Also we take part in our company annual parents and friends evening when we award Badges and prizes for work through the session. The Anchor Boys wear a bright red sweatshirt, a blue polo shirt and dark trousers, and we inspect the uniform to encourage the Boys to try their best each week to be as smart as possible We are always looking for new members to come and join our very happy section and you will be made very welcome! As part of Southgate Methodist Church, all our Anchor Boys are also encouraged and very welcome to join our Sunday School, which meets during our Sunday Morning Worship between 10.00 am and 11.00 am.
